The TE700 by TECNA is a highly versatile electronic controller for resistance welding, designed to adapt to various types of welding machines, including spot welders, projection welders, and seam welders. Its compatibility with multiple operating modes makes it ideal for both manual and automated systems. The TE700 supports six welding modes: constant current, constant power, constant voltage, constant energy, FIX mode, and DYNAMIC mode, offering precise and flexible control for every type of application.
This controller features a simple and intuitive user interface, thanks to six programming keys and a backlit alphanumeric LCD display. It can store up to 300 welding programs, each identifiable by a customizable 8-character alphanumeric code. Each program includes up to 32 configurable parameters, for a detailed setup of the work cycle, which may include pre-weld, post-weld, slope, pulsations, and millisecond-level timing adjustments.
The TE700 also allows control of up to four welding transformers or four different types of electrodes using the same control unit. The number of digital inputs and outputs is expandable, for optimal integration into complex automated systems. Advanced features include thermal protection for the transformer, dual stroke function, WELD / NO WELD mode, and automatic electrode wear management via programmable incremental curves, which can be linked to four different weld counters.
In terms of power, the TE700 uses a medium-frequency IGBT inverter with a selectable frequency between 1000 Hz and 4000 Hz, ensuring high performance and stability. The system can monitor and display in real time a wide range of parameters, including RMS current, energy, power, electrode voltage, initial and final resistance, machine and inverter usage percentage, and – optionally – initial thickness of the welded material and end-of-cycle indentation. Safety limits can be set on all these values, including the optional ones, to ensure maximum process quality.
The controller also includes management of five 24Vdc solenoid valves with self-protected output, optional isolated RS232 serial communication, an output for proportional solenoid valve, and a button to select between foot pedal or two-hand control. It is compatible with 50/60 Hz mains power supply, supports firmware updates via dedicated software, and is available in several languages, including Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Swedish, and Portuguese. For advanced applications, the TE700 also enables simultaneous management of four different electrode campaigns, with independent counters (optional feature).
Thanks to its modular structure, computing power, and high level of customization, the TE700 welding controller represents a complete, reliable, and high-performance solution for the industrial resistance welding sector, capable of adapting to a wide range of applications and production technologies.
