The plates that are mounted are parallelepiped-shaped and have slots, inside of which we hammer nuts to secure the support, once the upper part is aligned with the lower part.
Under these conditions, it is always advisable to work towards the centre of the cylinder in order to avoid bending.
When this possibility exists, cylinders with trapezoidal guides sliding on ball bearings should be used to avoid bending or slipping of the electrode during welding.
Even in this case, a very good cooling system is necessary considering that these are always medium to high power welders.
