ELECTRODES FOR RESISTANCE WELDING IN COPPER ALLOYS

COPPER ALLOY ELECTRODES WITH INSERT FOR WELDING OF NUTS

The copper alloy electrodes for welding nuts in addition to conducting the welding current according to the size from the weld nut, by using an insulated pin, ensure the centering of the welding nut.

Two types of electrodes are manufactured for the welding of nuts: electrode with fixed insulated pin that contains the welding nut sized according to the internal size of the thread and the electrode with insulated pin with two diameters.

The end of the electrode with insulated pin with two diameters, is made according to the inner dimension of the nut in the underlying part and is shaped according to the hole made on the sheet.

The electrode with insulated pin with two diameters is built with an internal spring and as an alternative is made with pneumatic movement of the pin.

During the resistance welding process by using the copper alloy electrode with insulated pin for welding of nuts, after the positioning of the sheet and its welding nut, it is necessary to verify that the insulated pin of the electrode draws back correctly for an effective welding, avoiding current dispersion during the welding phase.
