BATTERY-POWERED CAPACITOR DISCHARGE WELDING UNITS

BATTERY-POWERED PORTABLE WELDING UNIT FOR STUD WELDING

Not every stud welding job takes place next to a fixed power supply. For installation work, site activities and production environments where equipment needs to be moved frequently, battery-powered capacitor discharge stud welding machines provide the freedom to work independently from the mains. They are designed for welding threaded studs, internally threaded bushes and other suitable fasteners directly onto metal components.

The integrated rechargeable battery allows a large number of welding cycles to be completed without a direct mains connection. This makes the equipment particularly practical when access to electrical power is limited or when the welding position changes during the job. Depending on the operating conditions, the battery can provide up to approximately 1,000 recharge cycles.

Once recharging is required, the welding unit can be connected to a standard 220 V power supply. This combination of cordless operation and mains charging gives operators greater flexibility without giving up the convenience of a portable welding system.

These machines are suitable for applications involving different types of weldable fasteners. Threaded studs and internally threaded bushes can be selected according to the base material, component thickness and fastening requirements. Choosing the right machine configuration is important to maintain consistent welding conditions throughout the application.

A.T.S. supplies battery-powered capacitor discharge stud welding equipment and provides technical assistance to installers, manufacturers and engineering departments. The selection takes into account the working environment, required mobility, available power supply, fastener and base material, helping customers identify a practical solution for mobile or on-site stud welding applications.
