In resistance welding, copper alloy electrodes with a flat surface are used for components and for metal sheets where you want to minimize the mark of the welding point.

In fact, flat electrodes, unlike other copper alloy electrode models, play the role of distributing more the welding current on the electrode contact surface.

Often, they are coupled with electrodes that concentrate more current, applied in the side of the part that remains hidden from the view (more visible welding marks) while on the other hand you have the flat electrode that is then applied in the visible side of the particular (smaller amount of visible welding marks).

Of this type of electrodes there are several models that differ mainly for the conicity, the diameter of the electrode body and the length.

WRENCH FOR WELDING ELECTRODES

Flat resistance welding electrodes for welding can be constructed with a key socket useful for easy removal, this involves additional processing during the construction of the electrode.

Alternatively, the flat electrodes can be built without the key socket, in this case it is always advisable to use the electrode wrench which facilitates easy extraction without compromising the shape of the welding electrode.
