TECNA ATEX balancers
TECNA ATEX balancers
The ATEX marking EX II 2GD c II T 85°C (T6) is the key specification when selecting a TECNA balancer for use in a potentially explosive industrial environment. This configuration is intended for applications where the presence of flammable gases or combustible dust requires equipment suitable for the classified working area.
The marking identifies the main characteristics of the balancer: II refers to equipment for industrial applications other than mining, while 2 indicates the equipment category. The designation G concerns explosive atmospheres caused by gases and D those associated with combustible dust. The c marking refers to protection for non-electrical equipment, while T 85°C (T6) specifies the relevant surface-temperature limit.
Rather than being intended for standard production areas, TECNA ATEX spring balancers are designed for workplaces where the characteristics of the surrounding atmosphere must be considered when selecting suspended equipment. They can be used to keep tools and devices positioned within reach while respecting the requirements associated with the intended installation environment.
The application may involve different industrial operations in areas where gases, vapours or combustible dusts can create potentially explosive conditions. Correct selection therefore depends not only on the equipment being suspended, but also on the classification and operating conditions of the area.
A.T.S. supplies TECNA ATEX balancers and assists technical departments in evaluating the appropriate configuration. The characteristics of the installation, the ATEX classification and the equipment to be suspended are considered together when identifying the suitable solution.
